Short term Business trip in CERN Geneva, Switzerland of Prof. Alexander Sharmazanashvili with cooperation of President of Georgian Academy of Science, Academician Albert Tavkhelidze was held. The goal of visit was to invite International customers to participate in join CATIA-based engineering projects.
Submission of paper in fifth international symposium on Tools and Methods of Competitive Engineering TMCE2004. Paper of Prof. Alexander Sharmazanashvili with its title "Development of Manufacturing Features with Advanced Parameterization Possibilities" was submitted. (accepted).
Participation in International seminar at Georgian Academy of Science. Prof. Alexander Sharmazanashvili was introduced CATIA engineering center aims and activity to participate in international engineering projects.
Attendance on CATIA V5 workshop for aerospace industry provided by IBM Co. Members of CAD/CAM division have attained the requisite standard of performance and obtain the certificates of correspondence from IBM Co.
By decision of Tbilisi Mtatsminda regional court on the base of CAD/CAM division CATIA engineering center was established at Georgian Academy of Science. Founders of center are Georgian Academy of Science, Georgian Technical University, Georgia & Georgia Ltd.
Short term Business trip in JINR Dubna, Russia of Prof. Alexander Sharmazanashvili with cooperation of President of Georgian Academy of Science, Academician Albert Tavkhelidze was held. The goal of visit was to invite Russian customers to participate in join CATIA-based engineering projects.
According to academic rule of providing Masters degree research at GTU, Beso Chikhradze was enrolled in CAD/CAM division for 2 year masters level research work.
