VR Chat Project Showcase at CERN

Following the successful virtual presentation of our VR Chat project at the March 31st ATLAS Outreach Weekly meeting, team members Alexander Sharmazanashvili and Giorgi Bokhochadze have taken their innovative work to the next level with a series of presentations at CERN.

The project, which garnered significant interest and positive feedback during the initial virtual showcase, impressed meeting participants enough to earn an invitation for an in-person demonstration at CERN.

The presentations were held over the span of four days:

Monday, June 16 – The first poster session was held at a CERN building, where hundreds of visitors experienced the VR Chat project firsthand. Attendees had the opportunity to test the immersive VR Chat game and explore the particle collider through virtual reality, creating an engaging and educational experience that brought cutting-edge physics research to life.

Tuesday, June 17 – Alexander and Giorgi delivered a focused presentation of the VR Chat game to members of the Future Circular Collider team, demonstrating how virtual reality technology can enhance understanding of complex particle physics concepts.

Wednesday, June 18 – The team presented the complete portfolio of our innovative projects, including:

  • Augmented Reality Table
  • Augmented Reality Book
  • Tracer VR
  • VR Chat

Thursday, June 19 – The week culminated with Alexander Sharmazanashvili and Giorgi Bokhochadze meeting with the management of LHC experiments, where they presented their VR Chat project to key decision-makers and experiment leaders.
