Tracer-MC is a browser-based 3D application developed for the ATLAS WW exercise of the International Masterclasses. It requires no installation and is compatible with a wide range of platforms, including laptops, tablets, and mobile devices. The application can be accessed directly through any modern web browser at https://tracer-mc.web.cern.ch
The Georgian team has upgraded Tracer-MC from version 1.0 — used during the 2024 and 2025 International Masterclasses — to version 2.0, which will be deployed for the 2026 sessions.
This update focuses on improvements to the application’s engine and user interface. Version 2.0 introduces an upgrade from Tracer-Core 2.1 to 7.0 and from the WebGL engine r127 to r177. These changes deliver significant performance gains, reducing application response time by approximately 50%.
The lead developers of Tracer-MC Version 2.0 were two talented and dedicated programmers, Shota Tevdorashvili and Shota Chlaidze. Congratulations to both on their achievement, and best wishes for their future endeavours.
