GCCEC ON SLAC MEETING

GCCEC represents new scoring volumes on SLAC on-line meeting, Stanford, USA. New R16 volumes concern with services coming from the inner detector into Barrel-EndCAP gap region. GCCEC engineers collect 2D drawings from CERN CDD and Smarteam servers and reproduce detailed 3D CATIA models. After 3D CATIA models were transferred into C++ codes for GEANT application (see details here …). SLAC team, Stanford, USA is responsible for simulation of radiation distribution in cavern background. Development of new scoring volumes for SLAC is one of the working packages of collaboration between Georgian Technical University, GCCEC and ATLAS software/computing society starting from 2011 according to agreement 366-10
