VISIT IN JUELICH

Director of CAD/CAM Engineering Center Dr Alexander SHARMAZANASHVILI was invited in Forschungszentrum Juelich GmbH, Juelich, Germany. He has mat with Univ.-Prof. Dr. Rudolf MAIER, Director at Institute for Nuclear Physics (IKP-4), Prof. Dr. Hans STROEHER, Director at Institute for Nuclear Physics (IKP-2) and Prof. Dr. Andro KACHARAVA, Spokesperson of ANKE collaboration at IKP. Parties discussed possible ways of cooperation between Forschungszentrum Juelich and Georgian CAD/CAM Engineering Center in order to identify a collaborative contribution into the FAIR project and define working packages, including the necessary resources. Prof. A.SHARMAZANASHVILI describes profile of center and details of his staff activity in the collaborative project with ATLAS CERN Geneva, Switzerland. Prof. R.MAIER and Prof. H.STROEHER outlined the needs for engineering activities for High Energy Storage Ring (HESR) at FAIR and COSY. The parties concluded that there are several fields of engineering activities which can be covered by the engineering center in Georgia.
