ATLAS MOCK-UP AT BERN

ATLAS Detector 1:50 scaled mock-up was presented on ATLAS week at Bern, Switzerland on 8th of June, 2008. Mock-up has been produced in Paris by Protometal, Co. and was built by stereo lithography technology on the base of polymers. Mock-up construction has been fully developed by Georgian CAD/CAM Engineering Center (GCCEC) according to special agreement signed with ATLAS, CERN. GCCEC was collaborated also with CPPM – Center de Physique des Particles de Marseille, Marseille, France. Some Institutes are also expressed interest to obtain mock-up. CERN has covered all financial expenses of CAD activity through the payments on dedicated Georgian team account. (Download 3D prototype here…)
