ATLAS CELEBRATES, GCCEC JOINS

ATLAS collaboration organized party to celebrate big discovery collaboration has reached in summer, 2012. All ATLAS partners have been invited. GCCEC was joined celebration as a partner institute, having collaboration with ATLAS since 2004. GCCEC participated in ATLAS detector construction work, developed CATIA based 3D engineering model database, checked integration conflicts and provided preliminary dynamical modelling of 100m underground installation process of detector. GCCEC was responsible for the calculation of safe installation path of heaviest parts of ATLAS detector – End-CAP magnets, installed successfully underground in 2007.
