ITk Offline SW

Recently, the ITk Offline SW meeting took place, where our team members, Niko Tsutskiridze and Giorgi Mirziashvili, presented their findings on the research conducted in one of the ITk detector’s regions, PP1. Their presentation highlighted the entire project process, focusing on the study of Twin-ax cables.

The presentation emphasized the project’s life cycle and presented the results of a comparative analysis of volume/mass and radiation lengths. Additionally, they introduced new geometric descriptions prepared for simulation packages. Notably, a significant 64% difference was detected between the geometries in the modeling packages and the As-built geometries.

The presentation received positive feedback from collaborators, especially from Shaun Roe, who noted that the results are crucial for improving simulation tasks. These findings will have a substantial impact on the future development of the ITk detector.
