PRESENTATION OF ATLAS EVENT DISPLAY COORDINATOR AND THE DECISION ON OVERALL DEVELOPMENT AND THE FUTURE OF ATLAS TRACER

ATLAS Event Display Coordinator Sergei Chekanov presented Status of ATLAS Event Displays and Plans to ATLAS management . In his presentation he generally described Event Displays & Requirements, generally overview ed all of them and talked about pros and cons and future plans of each Event Display.
Sergei also presented a comparison of each of them. Chekanov dedicated separated slide to topic \’Merging TRACER & PHOENIX, which had been important topic during ATLAS Event Display Meetings. After discussing this topic, ATLAS management decided to make ATLAS TRACER an official Web Event-display application for ATLAS and to merge Phoenix to TRACER.
He also talked about future applications that will be based on TRACER. One of the test (demo) versions has already been created for TRACER ART, an AR application that will allow users to place an ATLAS detector on a table or on any plane.
