SOFTWARE R&D SECOND LIGHTNING TALKS SESSION

Georgian Engineering Center (GET) of Georgian Technical University (GTU) participated in Software R&D Second Lightning Talks Session. This event kick’s off activities for the Software Working Group (WP7) of the CERN EP R&D initiative (https://ep-dep.web.cern.ch/rd-experimental-technologies). Event mainly focuses on lightning talks on the challenges and research directions for software and computing in the coming years.

Project Manager of GET Alexander Sharmazanashvili talked about browser based detector displays for outreach & education, pointed out its advantages such as no installations on user side, compatibility with all hardware platforms and OS as well as being open source. Thus proposing usage WebGL/three.js graphical engine for visualization of facilities and events for Outreach & Education.
