SOFTWARE R&D FIRST LIGHTNING TALKS SESSION

Georgian Engineering Center (GET) of Georgian Technical University (GTU) participated in Software R&D First Lightning Talks Session. This event kick’s off activities for the Software Working Group (WP7) of the CERN EP R&D initiative (https://ep-dep.web.cern.ch/rd-experimental-technologies). Event mainly focuses on lightning talks on the challenges and research directions for software and computing in the coming years.

Project Manager of GET Alexander Sharmazanashvili talked about New Approach for ATLAS Geometry Modelling. pointing out that is need huge amount of resource, is inaccurate and non-synchronized and hard to update. Thus suggesting new Heredity Geometry Modelling (HGM) model.
