Deputy Minister of science and education of Georgia Nodar Surguladze met with ATLAS software / computing coordinator Jim Shank, project coordinator Dario Barberis, rector of Georgian technical university Archil Prangishvili and director of GCCEC Lasha Sharmazanashvili. It was discussed pilot project between ATLAS CERN and Georgian party started from 1st January, 2010. It was concluded project is being executed successfully and reached outlined goals. New big agreement between ATLAS and Georgian party has been discussed in draft. Georgia expresses high interest to enforce collaboration with CERN and involve high education staff and students in the projects at CERN.
