High-Level Japanese Delegation Visits xrLab at BTU

A high-level delegation from Japan, led by H.E. Mr Hideki Ishizuka, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Georgia, visited the xrLab at Business and Technology University (BTU).

The delegation included leading digital experts from Japan, as well as Ms Karen Makishima, former Minister for Digital Transformation. The guests explored ongoing digital innovation projects in Georgia, with particular interest in Digital Twin technologies, aiming to establish a collaborative bridge between Japanese and Georgian stakeholders.

During the visit, xrLab showcased the VIP Digital Twin of the ATLAS detector and hosted immersive virtual sessions at BTU’s XR laboratory.

The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on the future development of the digital world, with both sides expressing strong interest in continued cooperation and future joint initiatives.
