Great News from CERN/IPPOG

The CERN/IPPOG collaboration has issued an official acknowledgement for Agreement IPPOG-2021-001, “Provision of Level of Effort in the Development of Visualization Software Applications for the IPPOG Collaboration” signed by IPPOG spokespersons Pedro T. Abreu and Claire Adam. It was concluded that the agreement was finished with great success.

The acknowledgement letter states:

================================================================

Dear Professor Alexander Sharmazanashvili,

Following your excellent presentation of the applications developed at GTU – Georgian Technical University – by the “Georgian Team” represented by you at the most recent IPPOG meeting on October 30, 2025, the IPPOG Collaboration recognized both the effort and the high quality of these applications. In particular, the software developed to analyze and present ATLAS data in the context of the Masterclass measurement “ATLAS W Path” has been used with great success during International Masterclasses sessions at several locations.

In accordance with all items specified in Agreement 2021-001, established between IPPOG and the Georgian Ministry of Education and Science / Georgian Technical University (GTU), the IPPOG Collaboration Chairs have reviewed items 2.1.1 through 2.1.5 and consider them to have been delivered on schedule and with quality fully meeting expectations. The proposed software has already been implemented as part of the “ATLAS W Path” on the International Masterclasses website and is now available for use by Masterclasses organizers worldwide.

The IPPOG Collaboration Chairs thank you and the Georgian Team for these important contributions, which we believe will further advance IPPOG’s mission of public engagement and expand the reach of the International Masterclasses programme.
