About Us
A new scientific research group, xrLAB, has been founded under the leadership of Professor Alexander Sharmazanashvili. xrLAB continues the legacy of the Nuclear Engineering Center at Georgian Technical University.
The primary mission of xrLab is to develop real-scale virtual reality worlds, supported by AI-driven tools, to create immersive cognitive experiences for diverse target audiences, including engineers, physicists, educators, students, artists, and business professionals.
xrLAB plans to pursue R&D collaborations with the Computer Science Group at Zwickau University, the XR Laboratory at Volvo Cars, Sweden, and the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), Switzerland.
xrLAB will also utilize the XR Laboratory and AI platform at Business and Technology University, Tbilisi, Georgia.
