GET ON ATLAS SOFTWARE WEEK

Georgian Engineering Team (GET) participated in simulation session on ATLAS software week at CERN, Geneva, Switzerland. GET presented two projects: New updates on geometry cross-checks with CATIA for MDT support structure and Services study in GAP region. MDT structures updates done by GET on the base of reproduction of 3D CATIA models from 74 blue prints which took several weeks of GET manpower. Compare analysis show important difference between CATIA models with existing XML model. 4.3 tonnes are missing in XML among of 10.5 tonnes total weight. Analysis includes detailed consideration of regions in different sectors and descriptions of missing parts
